Teach your children to pay themselves first.
i guess theses lessons will depend on their age...
slowly impart these lessons to them..if you rush things through, they might lose their interest as children's attention span is very short..
Kids when they are too young, they wont listen to those lessons, they are more interested in playing and buying lots lots of toys.

When i was in K1, I don't even know what $ is .. Kind of slow back in those days...
same for me...i only know how to get money from my mother to go to the mamashop to buy snacks...hehe
Does it really work.. especially for nowadays kids... very brand conscious... always ask money from parents for this lah that lah.... ma chiam treat the parents like ATM. Hiazs tough life now...

ya lor...that's happening to my younger sis too...
only know how to get money from my mother to go out shopping and dining with her friends.
and always call my father to pick her up...really pampered child...
sometimes i really hate her...she don't know how to earn money and yet spend so much...
Nowadays kids are like that hiazs... next time my kids ... i will either give them 3 choices during holidays... more tution / take up course / work ...no sitting around at home and shaking leg.

That will depends on their behaviour and performance before the holidays... If they study alot and do well or work hard then theres room for some leeway during holidays ... if not hehe nope.
