Have you guys heard of the AIA Compliments Plan? I got the form from one agent & reading thru, I must say, its pretty interesting:

Plan 1/Plan 2:

(1) It's FREE for 90-days / 365 days (if you sign up any Accident & Health plan)
(2) Accidental Death (on public conveyance): S$50K / S$100K
(3) Daily Accidental Hospital Income: Get S$50 / S$100 for each day of hospitalization
(4) Daily Hospital Income for Dengue Fever or Hand-Foot-Mouth-Disease: Get S$50 / S$100 for each day of hospitalization

Sounds good right?

(Not many superstitious ppl will want to even sign up coz it like means something will happen to you in the next 90days, but I'd say, isn't that how insurance works?)

Dear axelance, as I mentioned, its free! Haha means no premium or a single cent to pay AIA for covering you for that period. Only after when you wish to buy it proper than you need to pay.

I believe they are just getting leads only....smart eh....I sign up means in future they will hound me to no end =)

Hi Goldribbons,

This is basically a hospital cash plan with accidental death thrown in.
You can compare it with the tenet Medilite plan to see which one is better.

I think most insurance companies covers accidental death, daily hospital income but i think it would be better if there is coverage for minor injuries like sprains and bruises. No point if you are paying high premium for product that is hard to claim? For the major injuries i think medishield would be enough?

Hi vic84,

I believe for minor stuff, there the pink of health from AIA that covers minor injuries and gives you income should u stay in hospital and covers for amounts below a certain amount...works best with AIA healthshield... Get two together and you gets discounts for both... I'm having that.

For Medishield, its cheap but its rather basic. Private insurers are more expensive but they cover more stuff and higher amounts......finally its your call ;)

Kindly take note i do not work in AIA and do not gain anything out from promoting their products. I am stating my personal point of view basis as a customer of theirs using their plan.
