And to add on to the expenses you mentioned, there are also road tax and maintenance...
What about the alternative BMW - "Bus, MRT, Walk'?

No worries man. Can save the money while you can. The moment you step into your brand new car, it depreciates from then onward.
However many will say car brings easy convenience. Can't argue with that.
Perhaps a van can a good alternative too. Cheaper. But you will need to have it registered under a business account.

those lightweight foldable bicycles are hot items now....

i think by that time, you ride bicycle also need to pay road tax.
They might install ERP at every void decks in the future...the moment u leave your block ...start paying ERP liao... what a scary world to imagine.

they install a transponder at your door gates...
and they embed a tracking device into your nric...as long as you leave your house, the transponder sensed your nric, it will start to track you and you have to pay.
hope it don't worsen until "every breath u take..."

Sekali in the future, they inplant a tracking chip in everybody then they can track whereever you go...

can be tracked via hp
if u carry a hp and it's turned on, oso can roughly know ur location by the signals

You can definitely be tracked down...anywhere...anytime...as long as you are carrying your handphone.
How it works...I'm not sure. But this exist.
A police friend of mine once told me a murderer was tracked down to the exact location he was hiding in because of the stolen handphone from the victim that he was holding.

the handphone service provider has satellites and bases all over SG
so tt ur hp can receive the signals to make and receive calls and sms and watever
so the networks are constantly "pinging" ur hp and ur hp will respond to the nearest base station's signal.... so it's possible to know ur location... or rather, the sim card's location
u know there is a function on ur hp to show u ur "location"?
can't rber wat it's called but u can choose to turn it on or off
it's the name of the nearest base station to u
exact location is unable to pinpoint as the hp is oni responding to the nearest base station
so can oni agah agah know where u are.... or following all the ping logs, can know where u have been...
though i wonder of the service provider do keep the records....

Since theres only two top up stations in jurong island and mandai, and from the way they are pricing the CNG... i would say nope... furthermore two stations only, they can fix or keep pushing up the prices...those CNG car owners got no choice but to bite the bullet.

but some people whom i know are upgrading their cars...
got 1 even more drastic....from a toyota rush upgrade to a mercedes CLK....
it seems some people are able to absorb the rising costs of fuel....lol
change car or buy new car is easy
but maintaining and keeping up with the monthly instalments and all those misc expenses is the hard part

do you all think that the bus service and train service should start earlier?
sometimes it gets a bit inconvenient for me...having to take cab so early and pay the additional charges...lol
although i know that not much people would take the train and bus so early...but that's just a suggestion...

currently only comfort charges the fuel surcharge right?
actually taxi rides are ok for me...because i pay by credit card and at the end of the month, i will claim it from company...and because i charge to my card, i can earn credit points...haha
Nope, i think most if not all of the cabs are charging the 30 cents fuel surcharge.

nowadays, if i am in a rush to go out, i rather take the bus and be late rather than take the cab...unless the journey can be claimed...
