Yes, it is a tiered process when it come to withdrawing the money.Govt don't want the retirees to spend all the money in 1 shot.Well of course, that means there is more money for Govt to invest with...

Yes, i totally agree

Government version of providing tied level of lifetime income is basically giving them more time to invest money to gain more returns but if you see from another perspective, its actually good, it gives the elderly stable income each month and its a form of insurance.

From the ground level people, whats letting the government earn couple of millions when they get 500 plus to 600plus or other amounts every month and without the worry of going hungry.

I will have to say i support this initiative. It will be a scary scenario, particularly for folks who are not very financially savvy, who may spent all their money quickly, and have not much left for their later years.

There should be some ideas about how Singaporeans are going to retire in singapore

Maybe after withdrawing the CPF savings we plan to spend it all elsewhere, like the IR, Batam islands or a retire in M'sia or Thailand

Maybe someday travel agencies can have a retirement travel package for CPF withdrawers! i'm sure that's a golden market out there

If I'm going to retire. This is what I will do:

1. Reinvest my CPF into high dividends stocks...
2. Buy property and go for rental income...
3. Buy property and flip them...
4. Trade at home - own time own target...
5. Invest in new businesses...and flip them...
6. Write a book!!!
