"Singapore residents in higher-income households had higher prospensity to travel overseas. Among Singapore residents with monthly household income from work of at least S$10,000 in 2005, three-quarters had travelled overseas. The corresponding proportion was a lower 32% among Singapore residents with monthly household income from work below S$2,000"

Is overseas travel just for the ones which have the extra cash to burn?! It can go to say that those with large families have an increased difficulty both ways, household income go towards feeding more mouths, in turn, when choosing a holiday destination, they might not be able to afford striking venues for fear of exceeding the budget....

What are the ways for someone without such financial luxuries & freedom to "take a roadtrip & a much-needed breather"??

HELP!!

If anything, there is always the budget coach travel to KL or JB, or the bum boat to Batam. Not fancy, but hey...it is a getaway nevertheless.
