Yesterday i tried getting the credit assist by posb but was rejected flat... i am having an annual income of more than 35k but still was rejected... So i went to credit bureau to get a record of my financial standing... I was shocked to see that i have 1 default record by citi bank... back last year when the account was already closed on 07!!!
Now i have to pay an amount with is REALLY TOO MUCH and worst that i dun even know of it... I called citibank and explained to them that the card is not solely used by me and i have actually allowed my mum to use my card as well... i am in the navy and sail quite often so my monthly bills are settled when my family requires me to transfer money to them. I have not recieved any letter of any sort since the closure of the account so i presume everything is being paid already.
Now when i decide to apply for another credit card, or credit assist... they wouldnt let me any more... What should i do??? i feel that its not right for me to pay almost x3 of the owed amount but if i dun pay them it will stay in my records also... i understand that different banks have different views in approving your credit application but i really need to get this card so as it will be easier for me to get installment for my new flat... Any advice anyone... Really Thanks alot...
I guess we are facing the same problem. I think this is the result of the great IMPACT of not reading and knowing the terms and conditions properly. I am on subject to the query as well of my respective credit card company. I am still waiting for the progress of my actions and I am hoping that it will end in good talk.
actually how am i suppose to tell them or what can i do to at least help me get my credit assist approve or credit standing better??? i am really into lots of stress now especially when i am getting married and help of getting a loan is really helpful...
