Financial institutions have caught on the bandwagon and invested considerable development dollars to make these applications more accessible to everyone. In addition, there is increasing focus on improving security levels, especially for high-level transactions, and even the speed of updates towards real-time on crucial information like Bank rates.

Amanda's Tip of the Week: For our Chinese readers out there, if you haven't done your New Year shopping yet, do remember to keep a proper budget sheet before or whilst you embark on your shopping. With so many lovely distractions out there (read: Goodies & dress-me-ups), it's so easy to lose sight of the necessities you actually need! Also, always compare prices. It's wise to invest in sensible, good-quality items which can last you a long time, perhaps for the rest of the year, like a well-made shirt/dress (not in bright-red), jewellery or a new decorative vase for the home.
