i am going to watch a japanese movie "Shaolin shojo" this weekend...seems quite a nice movie.
Following which, i am thinking of watching Adam Sandler's movie, which i have forgotten the title of the movie...haha

Get Smart is NOT as worth-watching as everyone thinks it is! Watched it over the weekend once it came out, some amongst my 10 friends fell asleep! Most commented its too "predictable", "can watch on DVD lor" or "plain slapstick". To think I hungered for it in months since watching the trailer on appletrailers. The best parts are already on the movie trailer lor.

Movie theatres-wise, I only have THIS to say: I Love Cathay cinemas (The Cathay) amongst all! Reasons below have been shared with so many frens haha:
(1) The popcorn is sooo good. Warm & with not sugar, but burnt caramel! That's how all popcorn shld be made! The whole cinema always smells perfect...
(2) The seats are better, more comfy, wanna sleep also damn shiok heh
(3) Cleaner, and newer facilities.
(4) Lesser pple at The Cathay, cf to Cineleisure. But both also good
(5) Have discounts for my credit cards

What I am dying to watch next (let's hope its not like Get Smart)

- 10 promises to my dog (I love dogs, I DON'T CARE even if this show is like 10 dogs dancing around for 2 hours)
- 21 (I love smart shows like this, yes, it's another Ocean's 11/12/13 blah, but this was a true story, how cool!)

talking about theatre, i still remember when i was in poly, after school, my friends and i went to tampines GV to watch movie in the afternoon...wah...the cinema is almost empty...the few of us(around 3) plus 2 couples only...

we shift and change seats whenever we feel uncomfortable in the present seats..haha
we even sat on the staircase...hahahaha

but now many ppl watching in tudou, damn slow..
so i switch to youku

other than movies, i oso watch taiwan, korean, local dramas

i would say ppl would prefer to watch online is bcos the movie tix are expensive
then again, i think SG movie tix pricing is considered quite cheap oredi, compared to other countries.
got student price, senior citizen prices, discount with credit cards.... can help ppl save a bit of $ oso...
so i was thinking, maybe if the tix can be more affordable, more ppl would be inclined to go watch in the cinemas.....
however, with the increase in production cost (and everything else), i think it's quite hard to lower the price of tix lah.

for movies tt i feel are worth watching and supporting, i would go watch it in the cinemas
the rest if i think is not worth me spending money, i would watch online or not watch at all... no loss....

same here, i only go to cinema if the movie is really worth the money and it is a group outing together with my friends...
else i will wait for the online version...or sometimes borrow vcd or dvd from my friends...haha

Went to watch the 10 Promises to my Dog... so touching and nice to watch...2 hours just pass without realising it.
Tip for all... Bring alot tissues u definitely need it....

Its a very sad show to watch esp that you got pets at home.
Even the trailer was heart wrenching. But in reality its really what is going to happen, unless you keep a parrot and it outlive you.

actually last time when i was much younger, i pestered my parents to buy me a pet dog...but knowing the short attention time span that i have, luckily they never buy it for me...or else i would have brought harm to another innocent life!

In the end, they bought me a robotic dog...they say that if i want a dog, just put in battery!

Its a very sad fact but reality hurts. Pets generally do not live longer than humans. When its time for them to go, normally it hurts alot due the long time together and the feelings developed over time. But honestly for your pet to pass away due to old age can be considered a blessing as compared to death due to illness or accident. At least your pet pass away in peace.

i have to admit that i hardly watched any local productions...usually i will just wait bcos they will be showned on channel 8 after some time....haha

If you haven't caught 赤壁, catch it. One mighty fine production. Pretty anti-climax at the end. But heck, it's good!

i think to sit through 5 hours is quite a torture
so they chopped into 2.....
i thinking if i shd catch part 2 in gold class....

there is already a compressed version i think
2 parts squeeze into 2 or 3 hours.... showing in the states...

i would say they really spent a lot of money on the elaborate sets and intricate props
though i find some parts quite gay (the 2 of them playing Qin together)
the humour oso quite duh in some parts

I really like Red Cliff, but the ending puts me off.

I'm looking forward to Dark Knight. Heard a lot about it's intelligent scripting and dialouge.
